Nakul Pasricha, CEO
Nakul led operations and technology for PharmaSecure before being appointed as CEO, building the product and technology suite, hiring the team, and overseeing business operations. He was there when the first codes were monetized, and looks forward to celebrating 10 billion with the team in the coming years. Previously, Nakul spent over a decade in financial services technology with Citibank and GE Capital in the US and India respectively, having served as CIO of GE’s consumer finance business in India. He then moved to the exciting world of social enterprises, connecting rural Indians with essential services such as education, microfinance and health before bringing technology and healthcare together at PharmaSecure. Nakul holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Gettysburg College and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. He remains a faithful Terp and looks forward to becoming a half-decent golfer one of these days.
Samit Yadav, Vice President – Operations
Samit brings over sixteen years of experience in Application Development, Application Support and IT Operations and technology. He has led the entire suite of activities in Service Management, from Service Support, Service Delivery, Security Management, Applications Management, Software Asset Management and cost optimization for customers. Before joining PharmaSecure, Samit provided IT-Consultancy to various Government of India Departments in the fields of Healthcare and Social Security. Samit has also spent many years supporting customer critical financial applications. He holds an Engineering degree in Industrial Electronics from the University of Pune, India.
Girish Pai, Vice President – Sales, Marketing & International Business
Girish leads Sales, Marketing & International Business at PharmaSecure based out of Mumbai, India. He has the mandate to drive India Sales, Marketing and expand PharmaSecure’s commercial presence beyond India through a mix of partnerships and direct presence. Girish brings with him 12 years of diverse experience spanning Sales, Marketing, and Business Management in the Medical Devices, Diagnostics, and Consumer Healthcare sectors, with companies such as Philips, Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, and Dabur. He has degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.
Belal Ahad Khan, Director – Serialization
As Director – Serialization, Belal is responsible for the conceptualization, delivery, and implementation of all serialization solutions, from brand protection to various regulatory serializations across different countries. Before joining PharmaSecure, Belal was responsible for Delivery and Program Management at organizations like Xerox, Usha Martin and Birlasoft. Belal holds a Post Graduate degree in Physics and a Masters of Computer Application from the L.N. Mishra Institute, Patna.
Abhijit Acharya, Associate Director – Product Management
Abhijit Acharya is an information technology professional with more than 7 years of global experience and multi-disciplinary skills, including product development, market analysis, social innovations and program implementation. Currently, Abhijit spearheads the product team at PharmaSecure with a dedicated focus on patient engagement, medical non-compliance and patient behaviour research. He works closely with the industry to provide innovative, scalable solutions to medical non-adherence by leveraging mobile technology. Abhijit also leads PharmaSecure’s public health initiatives. Previously, Abhijit has served as President of AIESEC Denmark, overseeing country-wide operations, business development, and foundation management. He holds a Master of Science degree from BITS Pilani, a LL.B. from Delhi University, and a Bachelors of Engineering from Raj. University.

N. Taylor Thompson, Founder
Taylor co-founded PharmaSecure in 2007. He has advised more than a dozen social enterprises on strategy, and has consulted for the Global Impact Investing Network, Echoing Green, and the Impact Term Project. In 2014, Taylor was a research fellow with the Forum for Growth and Innovation at Harvard Business School, where he studied technology commercialization with Clayton Christensen and wrote for HBR. Taylor is an Echoing Green and Pop!Tech fellow, and he holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Julius Mokrauer, Managing Director – Serious Change LP
Julius is the Managing Director at Serious Change Investments LP, where he advises and supports CEOs of portfolio companies on strategy and operations-related issues such as marketing, busienss development, management and organization. Previously, Julius co-founded RangeView Capital, an investment firm specializing in high frequency trading and co-founded Milestone Partners International, an international management consulting firm. He earned his BS and MS from Rutgers University and his MBA from Stanford University.
Arun Gore, Gray Ghost Ventures
Arun comes to social venture capital after executive leadership roles in finance and operations in the telecommunications industry. Arun brings his general management experience to lead the management of the organization, investment team and Fund investment activities. Over the last seven years, he has been involved in developing the Impact Ventures portfolios under management and promoting financial and social value creation.
Prior to his current role, Arun founded a management and operations consulting practice focused on international operations and support to the wireless industry. Previously, he was a member of the executive team with T-Mobile USA, serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Cook Inlet T-Mobile. As CFO, he spearheaded mergers and acquisitions and the development of business strategies that included managing joint ventures for T- Mobile, establishing Indian operations for US-based firms and promoting start-ups. During his career, he has been responsible for managing market operations, budgeting, vendor financing and special projects, as well as streamlining operations and restructuring departments and business centers to improve financial and operational efficiency.
Arun is a native of Chennai, India. He holds a BSc in the Sciences and a BS in Accounting. Arun also holds an MBA in Finance and is proficient in Tamil, Hindi, Marathi and Telugu.
Jay S. Kunin, Ph.D
Dr. Kunin has had a varied career as an entrepreneur, executive, investor, consultant, and director of technology startups. He is the Inaugural Director of the Moxie Center at UC San Diego, and has been a co-founder and executive officer of many startups. He is a long-time angel investor, and served as a board member of Tech Coast Angels from 2004-11, where he headed the BioMed Track. He has also been a consultant to the New Zealand government and Incubators New Zealand on angel investing, and served as a Visiting Fellow for the Australian Institute for Commercialisation. He has served as a board member for entrepreneurial companies in industries including medical devices, protein genomics, and tissue engineering, as well as a variety of software companies in domains including medical, health, legal, financial and internet. Dr. Kunin earned a B.S. in physical sciences, M.S. in Earth and planetary science, and Ph.D. in computer science from MIT.
